PolySwarm Plans

In PolySwarm UI, the Pricing page lists PolySwarm's plans.

Available Plans

PolySwarm provides multiple plans.

  • Community Plan - This is the default plan for accounts created in PolySwarm UI. This plan is free, so requires no subscription, but the user must be logged into their user account when using PolySwarm UI. Usage limits are higher than for anonymous usage, but less than all paid plans.
  • Multiple Paid Plans - These plans require a subscription and enable access to more features and higher usage limits.

Components of a Plan

  • Billing cycle
  • Subscription length
  • Daily API usage limit
  • One or more features
  • Usage limit for each feature

Billing Cycle

Feature usage for all plans is tracked using a 30-day billing cycle. The billing cycle starts on the date and time the plan subscription is activated and ends on every subsequent 31st day at the same time.

Subscription Length

Plan subscriptions can be either month-to-month or annual.

Month-To-Month Subscription

Term

This subscription has a term of 30 consecutive days, which is one billing cycle. The term starts on the date and time the subscription is activated and ends on the 31st day at the same time.

Renewal

At the end of each term, the subscription automatically renews at the same rate for one more term. Anytime during the term, the user can cancel the automatic renewal of the subscription, such that at the end of that term it will not automatically renew.

Invoicing

The cost of the subscription is invoiced at the end of each term.

Annual Subscription

Term

This subscription has a term of 360 days, which is 12 billing cycles. The term starts on the date and time the subscription is activated and ends on the 361st day at the same time.

Renewal

At the end of each term, the subscription automatically renews at the same rate for one more term. Anytime during the term, the user can cancel the automatic renewal of the subscription, such that at the end of that term it will not automatically renew.

Invoicing

The cost of the subscription is paid at the start of each term.

Daily API Usage Limit

Each plan has a fixed Daily API usage limit. This limit is the maximum number of total feature usages per 24 hour period. This limit overrides all feature usage limits and is cumulative for all features. The only method to increase the Daily API Usage limit is to select a plan with a higher limit.

Feature Usage Limits

Feature usage limits are defined per billing cycle. Each subsequent billing cycle will reset the feature limits according to the active plan. The feature usage limits of each feature is independent of the feature usage limits of all other features.

Comparing

The left column of the Compare Plans table lists each feature that PolySwarm offers. Selecting the small info icon will display the description of that feature. The currently active plan has “Current Plan” as the text on the button below the plan, so it is easy to identify. PolySwarm occasionally offers a free trial. The button below the plan permitting a free trial will indicate a trial is available.

Selecting

All new User Accounts and Team Accounts are assigned the “Community” plan. This allows all users to enjoy the base functionality of the platform for free. Once the account is created, the plan can be upgraded to a higher tier. Click the button below the plan to request a quote for a higher tier.

If selecting a plan that offers a free trial, PolySwarm will make arrangements with you to start the trial period on a specific date and it will run for a specific duration.

Free Trial

During the free trial, your account will have the Daily API Limit and all Feature Usage Limits based on the Enterprise plan. When the trial is over, your account will revert to the free Community plan, so the Daily API Limit and all Feature Usage Limits will be replaced by those from the Community plan. Any features not included in the Community plan will become unavailable. If you want access to other features or higher usage limits, you will need to purchase a paid plan.

Using

It is important to understand that each Account has a separate plan subscription. Since PolySwarm UI allows a User Account to create one or more Team Accounts, this means that the User Account would have one subscription, while each Team Account would have a separate subscription. There is no usage sharing or inheritance between accounts. We do this to allow larger organizations to purchase separate plans for separate teams.

The User Account and Team Account documentation describes how to Switch Context to make use of each subscription.
